Peter has directed TV commercials for Volkswagen and Reeses, and has animated for dozens of other well known brands, such as Dragons’ Den, Microsoft, Persil, Anchor Butter, Bank of Scotland, Rennies and Great Ormond Street Hospital. He is represented as a commercials director by the Oscar winning animation studio Tandem Films.

Volkswagon Caddy on Discovery Channel

Peter directed four 15” spots for Volkswagon, sponsoring Adventure on Discovery. We shot a live-action hand and composited it with the 2D drawn animation - a fun project to plan and execute, with the added challenge that all the spots had to have 10” cut-down versions and so needed to work seamlessly with both durations. Ray Winstone provided the voice-over, and it was produced by Rick Bland at Tandem Films.

Reese’s Scratch-card for the Maryland Lottery

Peter directed this 30” spot for a new Maryland Lottery scratch card, sponsored by Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. A rather under-confident magician takes himself quite pleasantly by surprise.
