A trip to Stuttgart

Just recently got back from a inspirational visit to the Internationales Trickfilm Festival of Stuttgart. Save Our Bacon screened in the kids’ competition and also in a programme of British shorts entitled ‘Down on the Farm.’ As a bonus, Over The Hill was shown on a giant screen outside in the schlossplatz, to a mass of picnicking families. This statue looked down across the platz. Admittedly the sky wasn’t yellow, but in all other respects this is a photorealistic recreation of the scene.

And here the struggle with watercolours continues with another statue, this time in the adjacent schlossgarten..

In Bruges

More Watercolour Challenge, this time from the charming city of Bruges.

Ski-plane

A vision of my father’s inner psyche. Happy birthday Dad!

Skiing comes but once a year…

Ah, in but one week’s time I’ll be careering down the side of a snowy mountain with a pair of planks strapped to my feet. How can such a simple thing be so pleasurable?

More watercolours

A couple more watercolours from this summer. Firstly a game of scrabble, secondly a bunch of lunchers on the grass of St Anne’s Church on Wardour St.

A church

This is the church on the corner of Maddox St and Mill St, just west of Regent’s St. I did this over the course of a couple of lunchtimes whilst animating the Bank Of Scotland adverts at Hibbert Ralph, earlier this summer.

Boats!

Just to kick things off I thought I’d bung a couple of watercolours I’ve done of boats. For no particular reason. The one at the bottom was on the Regent’s Canal in London, a couple of years ago. The one at the top was done in June this year on Skye.
