Here’s a few illustrations I did last week for an exciting new venture called Kitchenette. It’s London’s first kitchen incubator, helping the city’s most original and promising first-time food entrepreneurs get started, and it’s the brain child of one very clever Cynthia Shanmugalingam. Have a look at Kitchenette here.
It’s been a while! Christmas was busy, and if anyone went skiing recently they may have spotted on the slopes (or possibly more likely in the apres ski bar) one of several thousand hoodies bearing this design. This was something I did for my friend Mike Winterton, who’s company Traverse Aravis is taking off.
A couple of designs I did for a pitch recently…
I had great fun last week making this design for some fabric cut-out pirates as part of a pitch for a nappy advert. Shame we didn’t win the pitch, but on the other hand at least now I can do what I want with the little fellow-me-lads. I think they need a ship.
An enormous congratulations to my friends Amanda and Ian, who got married on Wednesday. Amanda asked me to design an owl for the occasion, to be stamped onto little wooden coasters/fridge magnets/trinket things. The thing to figure out was how much detail we could get away with, or conversely how bold the design should be. I was very pleased with the result, and it’s got me thinking about other stamping opportunities…
A bit of pro-bono design work for my sister, in her capacity as vice-chair of the Friends of Stamford Rec campaign. This is a design I made for their logo, using the band stand for which Stamford Rec is famed (in Stamford that is).
